I think that Zannah was very powerful, but other than Sith Sorcery, she was not as powerful as Bane. However, from more than one source (maybe only two, IDR) Bane was very powerful, and most definitely the Rule of Two was repeatedly broken. There are more sources in the EU other than the novel Darth Plagueis, but it's been a while since I've read them and so can't remember them. If we rely on the EU, then we know that darthbane77 and bigsamboni87 are correct in opposing what others have said (if I've understood correctly), which is that the Rule of Two ensured that every Dark Lord of the Sith was more powerful than their master had been. I'm posting this thread comment of mine (#34) as a blog entry making it readily available when needed. After participating in it, I realized I needed to update this post. Thanks to for tagging me in his Rule of Two scaling thread, which I enjoyed. However, it is what the Order of the Sith Lords had to start with, and I have now accepted that it is what we have. I think that Bottom Rung Bane wasn't the strongest Bane, and so the Banite Ladder itself had a bad start. He wasn't that well when she defeated him, and I do still have a tendency to think about what would have happened if he had been in better health when he fought her. I do think that Bane was very powerful, and it was difficult for me to place many Sith over him, especially considering that Bane didn't think that much of Zannah yet she defeated (barely) him. I mostly accept that the RoT mostly worked and that Bane is for the most part the bottom rung of the Banite Sith Ladder.
